by Ming Ji, retailed by Tuck Chang & Co, Shanghai, late 19th/ early 20th Century, of tapering cylindrical form with a moulded rim, the loop handle modelled as bamboo, the body with chased decoration of two trailing Chinese dragons amidst clouds, centring upon the sacred pearl formed as a vacant circular cartouche, all against a textured ground, gilt interior, marked underneath with artisan mark and retailer’s mark TC. 9.5cm high, 5.7 troy ounces
The marks on the underside are clear. It is in good original condition and with a nice patina.
