A CHINESE WHITE JADE 'FIGURES AND LANDSCAPE' TEAPOT
清 白玉山水紋方壺
The teapot of rectangular section is finely carved with an archaistic C-shaped dragon handle and mythical beast head to the spout. The body finely carved in shallow relief with scene from Red Cliff. The cover is carved with a band of stylised lappets around the central knob. The stone is of translucent even mutton white tone. Qing Dynasty period.
