Description: A CHINESE WHITE JADE INLAID SCEPTRE
QING DYNASTY (1644-1912), 19TH CENTURY
The white jade plaques each carved with scenes of scholars and attendants in rocky landscapes, set into a hardwood sceptre. Together with the original invoice dated 1981.
11cm high, 54cm long

PROVENANCE:
Purchased from 'The Jade Gallery', Melbourne, 1981, by a relative of the vendor.

Condition:

Condition: The central plaque broken in half (clean break) with old glue repair. The largest plaque with a series of small cracks to the lower left and right-hand side of the plaque (possibly natural fissures). The smallest plaque with no visible faults or damage.
