A CIZHOU SGRAFFIATO JAR AND A JIZHOU PAINTED JAR
The Cizhou jar Xixia/Jin Dynasty, the Jizhou jar Song/Yuan Dynasty
Comprising: a sgraffiato jar of bulbous form, the exterior carved with a broad band of foliate scroll between single line borders; the Cizhou jar with a broad-shoulder, painted in brown with birds in flight amongst stylised flower heads and foliage on a cream slip ground, the base unglazed.
The sgraffiato jar: 9cm (3 1/2in) high. (2).
