A COMPOSITE LAFT HAND DAGGER
Straight, double-edged blade, probably from a sword, of hexagonal section, with fuller for three quarters, with remains of letters engraved in the fuller. Iron hilt with guard ring and double loops curved downwards and lobed at the ends. Grip with moor's heads and old, twisted covering with braided, metallic threads. Large, button, spinning top pommel.
