A COMPOSITE LANDSKNECHT TWO-HANDED SWORD OR ZWEIHANDER, 128cm laminated tempered blade with rounded tip, struck with a maker's mark at the forte, hand-forged iron hilt and pommel, characteristic elongated flattened quillons with shaped terminals, two looping side guards composed of flattened bars, tapering spherical pommel, Victorian wooden grip with dual strand wire binding, Turk's heads. The blade and iron work probably late 16th Century, the grip probably Victorian.
