dating: second quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Russia, Octagonal, rifled, 12 mm cal. barrel from a French rifle of the First Empire, engraved and decorated with trophies and floral motifs, silver foresight, rust damages; wide, long tang with adjustable rear-sight, engraved with a warrior's chest surrounded by a medal and floral motifs; lock finely engraved with red-and yellow-gold floral motifs and signed 'LEBEDA PRAGUE'; with secure-lock. Wooden full stock with checkered neck and clutch for the butt-plate at the back; beautiful, Boutet, silver mounts (stamps), the butt-plate engraved with the writing 'Comte de Panin'; horn-tipped, wooden ramrod. length 48 cm.
