(A) CONSECUTIVE PAIR OF ALLEN AND THURBER SINGLE SHOT
Both guns are identical in markings and configuration, as well as condition. Dated "1837" on the left barrel flat. 3" half round half octagon barrels. "ALLENS PATENT" on the left side of the bar hammer. Scroll engraving on the frames. One is numbered "54" and the other "55" on the bottoms of the barrels as well on the inside of the trigger guard. CONDITION: Both guns have a pleasing patina with some light surface rust and minor pitting by the nipple. Retain 35% blue overall, mostly on the barrels. Grips are very good with some minor dings and handling marks. Fine mechanical function.
