A COPPER ALLOY FIGURE OF PADMAPANI, 19TH CENTURY
Nepal, 19th century. Cast seated in lalitasana on a double lotus base, the right foot resting on a lotus and the left leg folded, wearing a close-fitting dhoti and adorned in beaded jewelry, the right hand in varadamudra and the left hand raised before his chest holding the stem of a lotus, the face serene with heavy-lidded eyes, urna, and slender lips, the hair in a high chignon.
Condition: Good condition with old wear and casting irregularities as well as few minuscule nicks.
