A CORAL AND TURQUOISE-INSET DAGGER (KHANJAR) Ottoman Turkey, 19th century With a slightly curving, tapering double-edged blade, the gold-damascened forte with pseudo-calligraphy and abstract floral motifs, the hilt and scabbard encrusted with abundant coral and turquoise stones evenly arranged, the reverse with fine floral sprays chased in high relief and divided by diagonal bands, 35.5cm long including the scabbard.
