A Cartier Belle Epoque Guilloché Enamel Partial Gilt Silver and Amethyst Minute Repeater Clock, Paris, circa 1910 Marks to dial: Cartier, Paris London Marks to underside: (eagle's head), (Cartier mark), C252, 1728 2-3x4 x 1-7x8 x 1-1x2 inches (7.0 x 4.8 x 3.8 cm) (case) The clock in rectangular case, front with a white enamel border around violet enamel on a guilloché ground, the bezel of enameled blue and white interlocking circles encloses white enamel dial with black enamel Arabic numerals and gold hands, guilloché enamel extends to sides, back and top; the clock features a Swiss movement chiming hours, quarters, and minutes; the clock is raised by four circular amethyst feet. Condition Report: The clock presents well, with one faint hairline to center hole. Case is in good condition, with light surface scratches as expected with age and use. No losses observed. Hand engraved to underside 18477, 20361, 613441, 43528. A small crack to left back amethyst foot. Swiss movement not in sync with hands. Accompanied by key and a brown fitted case. Key marked 703.
