With sharply tapering double-edged blade cut with an off-set fuller over much of its length on each side, the waisted hilt and wood-lined scabbard (minor damage) entirely covered in nielloed silver embossed and chased on the outside with symmetrical scrolling foliage against finely punched grounds and with borders of beadwork, the inner sides nielloed with symmetrical foliage, the scabbard including the inscriptions 'Workmaster Marza Halil-Bekov' in Russian, 'Its owner Mustafa bin Muhammad al-Kasam' and 'The work of Riza bin Khalil Bey' in Arabic, suspension mount decorated en suite, and beaded spherical terminal
