A Caucasian silver-mounted miquelet pistol, mid-19th

Round, smooth bore Damascus barrel in 13.5 mm calibre. A mark struck at the breech and remnants of gold inlays. The miquelet lock entirely covered with decorative tendrils, inlaid in gold. The stock completely encased in finely nielloed, partially gilt, sheet silver, hammered and engraved. The iron grip strap and trigger guard with decorative tendrils in superlative gold inlay. Three barrel bands in nielloed silver. Length 43 cm. A high-grade, gorgeously crafted pistol in beautiful condition.
