A Celtic bronze votive sickle, Hallstatt culture, c. 800 - 475 BC, cast with one flat side and never meant to be a real tool but to be used in a ritual/votive context, sickles of this type having been found in huge cashes in Southeastern Europe. L: 7 1/4 in (18.4 cm). Nicely patinated with light deposits. Ex Malter Galleries, CA.
