A Charles II oak desk box, circa 1660, the hinged and angled lid opening to an interior incorporating four small drawers, the frieze carved with twin foliate S-scroll motifs, 37cm high, 81cm wide, 48cm deep

Provenance: Plaish Hall, Shropshire
Condition Report:
Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use Some old chips and splits, minor losses comensurate with age. Very good colour and patina. The top in particular has a polished finish. All metalware (hinges, lock plate, hasp etc appear original. Key is lacking. ) Some minor old woodworm damage but very minor. Overall in remarkably good original condition.
