A Charles II oak side table

A Charles II oak side table, circa 1680, the rectangular top with moulded edge, above a pair of moulded drawers, on turned tapering legs joined by a shaped X-stretcher, on turned feet, 73cm high, 86cm wide, 55cm deep Condition Report: Marks, scratches and abrasions comensurate with age and use.old chips and splits. some losses. a small number of old nails used to secure elements. Some additional old peg/ dowel joints to secure the top (see images) some old worm damage. The handles are later replacements but in period style. The original handle holes are visible on close inspection and to the reverse of the drawer fronts. The drawer lock is a later 18th century replacement. Some fading, more noticeably to the top. Two of the feet appear original. The other two are very sympathetic later replacements and are turned to the same design the original feet are. Some division to floor of drawer linings as expected.
