A Chinese Blue and White Bowl
Of round form, decorated in cobalt blue around the exterior with a continuous design of large lotus heads wreathed in scrolling foliage, above a band of interlocking flower heads, all between double blue lines at the rim and foot, the interior similarly painted with a medallion of lotus, the base with a six character mark of Chenghua. Period: Kangxi (1662‑1722). Diameter: 16 cm.
