A Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Ritual Vessel. Of pear-shaped vessel resting on a bulbous stem with a stepped foot, a waisted neck sweeping up to a flared rim, the body features a long, faceted spout tapering to a rim and is boldly painted with vibrant cobalt-blue tones. It is decorated with hibiscus blooms surrounded by a foliate meander of trefoil leaves, above a band of stylized flower heads. A six-character Xuande mark is found on the underside of the rim. {Height 8 1/2 inches (21.5 cm)}.
