Of slender baluster shape with splayed foot and flaring rim, the body painted with two panels of deer in a landscape reserved against a background of scrolling branches in pink and green enamels on a yellow background, the base with the four character seal mark of Qianlong. Period: 19th century. Height: 30 cm.

Wladimir Simon Semcesen (1906‑1969) born in Austria Hungary, settled in Oslo, Norway in 1936. In the 1950’s and 1960’s before the Cultural Revolution in China, he acquired works of art in China that he brought back to Europe.
