A Chinese 'Eight Trigrams' bronze vase, fanghu, Ming Dynasty, of rectangular section, the pear-shaped body rising from a high splayed foot to a slightly waisted neck, a band of Eight Trigrams encircling the rim, the neck bordered with four medallions enclosing lotus foliage and mythical beasts, and flanked by a pair of loop handles in the form of dragons, the base incised with two auspicious characters fu qi, 26.5cm high, 2210 grams
