Key present to upper section and operates lock which is a replacement plate. No key present for the locks to the fall and drawers. All are open. Locks and hinges replaced. Some rubbing and fading to the gilt. This has been refreshed at some point. Blooming to the lacquered surface. Glass to the upper section is later. Door of the upper section with evidence of old worm that has resulted in fragmentary loss. Filler has been used to disguise in places. Interior of the upper section has later shelves, mirror back and lighting added. Later baize surface to the fall. This is in distressed condition and has lifted from the underlying timber in places. Handles appear original but could be period replacements using the same holes. Later baize added to the tops of the lopers. Rear panels appear to be of the period, possibly with some cleaning. Elements of the decoration appear to be applied to a veneer. It is possible that lacquer decoration may be later but appears to have significant age. Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition.
