A Chinese Jizhou 'paper-cut' tea bowl, Song dynasty, with flared conical body, the interior with paper-cut decoration of three quatrefoil blossoms against the variegated buff-brown ground, the exterior with a dark-brown tortoiseshell glaze with mottled beige splashes, with kintsugi repair to the rim, the unglazed base with painted inscription, 11.4cm diameter c.f. 品相報告 Condition Report: Kintsugi repair to the rim in two areas and one to the well of the bowl. There is a fine crack running down the exterior from the rim, and around this area are some splashes of wear/possible flaws to the glaze. Some further minor glaze flaws present around the foot.
