A rounded scalloped pendant carved from natural Burmese Type A jadeite jade, rendered in pale milky white with faint soft grey natural inclusions throughout the stone. The relief carving depicts a peacock with fully fanned tail feathers, each eye feather individually detailed with fine radiating lines to capture the layered plumage, lending elegant symmetry to the whole composition. The carving lines are well-defined with smoothly rounded contours, finished with a glossy polish that brings out the gentle translucency of the jadeite jade. A neat suspension hole is pierced at the top for cord attachment. Dimensions measure 5.3cm by 5cm.
