A Chinese Natural Nephrite Jade Guanyin Head Carved Pendant, 8AT

This hand-carved pendant is sculpted from natural nephrite jade, measuring 3cm x 1.5cm. The stone features a creamy pale white base with rich orange-yellow natural skin colouration prominently displayed across the crown, facial plane and base of the carving. It depicts the serene head of Guanyin, with softly modelled facial features and elaborate headdress detailing, showcasing skilled utilisation of the stone's natural coloured skin. In Chinese traditional iconography, Guanyin embodies compassion, mercy, spiritual protection and auspicious blessings for the wearer. The carving has smooth flowing contours and a soft lustrous polish that accentuates the natural colour variation within the nephrite jade.
