A Chinese Pale Lavender Green Jade 'Multi Dragon Heads' Circular Pendant, 20AS

This finely carved circular jade pendant is executed in pale lavender green jade, with elaborate relief carving covering both sides of the disc. Each face is decorated with intertwined dragons with multiple dragon heads twisting among swirling cloud scrolls, rendered in high relief across the circular surface. The multi dragon motif symbolises imperial power, good fortune and heavenly protection in traditional Chinese iconography. The jade exhibits a pale lavender green tone with subtle natural mottling, faint whitish inclusions and occasional tiny brownish specks visible across the polished surfaces. The carving is rendered in high relief with deeply undercut scales, cloud scrolls and sinuous body contours, creating strong three dimensional movement; a small circular suspension hole is drilled at the top edge.
