This cylindrical Peking glass snuff bottle is made of translucent pale aqua glass, decorated on one side with blooming peonies in yellow and orange-red with lush green foliage, and the reverse features a colourful songbird perched on flowering branches alongside delicate butterflies. It is fitted with a deep red domed stopper mounted within a textured brass collar. Height 7 cm (2 3/4 in.), width 3.5 cm (1 3/8 in.).
