Of square section with short flaring neck, each side moulded with two panels depicting narrative scenes, framed by borders of raised flowering branches, the neck with a design of lappets, all reserved on a black ground. Period: 19th century. Height: 51 cm.

Wladimir Simon Semcesen (1906‑1969) born in Austria Hungary, settled in Oslo, Norway in 1936. In the 1950’s and 1960’s before the Cultural Revolution in China, he acquired works of art in China that he brought back to Europe.
