This elegantly formed pendant is carved from tri colour jade showing bright green, golden yellow and creamy white tones, modelled as a segmented bamboo stalk with delicate leaf details, topped with a cleverly carved interlocking free moving ring formed from the same piece of stone. The bamboo motif symbolises perseverance, integrity and continuous upward growth in traditional Chinese iconography, while the linked ring represents unity and unbroken good fortune. The jade displays striking colour variation across the surface, with glossy translucency and faint natural internal inclusions visible within the stone. The pendant is highly polished with smooth rounded contours, fine incised lines defining bamboo leaves and joints, and masterful openwork carving to create the movable linked ring.
