Of conical form with wide flaring rim, covered overall in a bright turquoise glaze. Period: 18th/19th century. Diameter: 21 cm.

Torsten Hammarström (1896-1965) was a Swedish diplomat. He was stationed 1947-1950 in Nanking and during the 1950’s in Peking as Swedish ambassador. Acquired at the time in China, thence by descent to the present owners.
