Ming dynasty, Jiajing mark and period
Painted with a central roundel of three herons in a lotus pond, surrounded by the fishes and algae populating the pond to the deep well, all below 'Shou' roundels to the everted rim, the exterior with lingzhi to the rim and lotus medallions to the gently rounded sides, the base with underglaze blue six-character mark in regular script, 20cm diameter.
