A Chinese export silver three piece tea set, consisting of a teapot with hinged lid, cream jug and twin-handled sugar bowl, each of octagonal form with engraved dragon design, and raised upon four stylized hoof style feet; together with a matching pair of sugar tongs. Struck to the base with maker's mark Tackhing (Hong Kong, circa 1890 - 1920), and additional mark 90% silver. Height of teapot 5.25" (13.5 cm), total weight 35.33ozt (1099 grams).
Condition Report:
- The tea set displays some general surface wear, marks and scratches, commensurate with age and use.
- Some heavy tarnishing and all pieces would benefit from a good clean and polish.
