A Chinese famille rose covered jar

Guangxu period, Qing dynasty

Featuring two tan dog-like handles to either side, framing the central fruited peach tree. Each tree is surrounded by flowering branches, lingzhi, and flying orange-toned bats, all symbolizing longevity. With six-character Guangxu mark to underside.

H: 14 7/8, W: 12 5/8, D: 10 1/2 in. (H: 37.78, W: 32.07, D: 26.67 cm.)

Provenance: From the estate of Lim Kee Chin, who was Singapore's trade commissioner to Hong Kong in the 1960s. Mr. Lim acquired these items while he was in Hong Kong. Lot 20 to 27, Lot 173 to 179, and Lot 225 to 235 are from the same collector.
