The finely enamelled snuff bottle of flattened oval form, decorated to each side with figural scenes depicting to one side three scholars playing weiqi amongst the foliage in a garden setting, the reserve with a scholarly figure holding a fly whisky accompanied by a farmer and a water buffalo, topped with a semi-precious stone topper and gilt-metal mounts, the base bearing a four-character mark of Daoguang Size:(7.7cm high) Qty: (2) Provenance: Private collection, UK ???? ??????
