A Chinese first half 20th century four-panel ebonised lacquer screen with gilt and coloured palace sceneries adorned with hardstone inlays. Each panel H. 183 cm W. 40 cm.
Provenance: Edvard Strandberg (1897–1986) was stationed by Danish East-Asian Company in the Far East during 1921–1948 after which he returned to Denmark to take up the position as CEO for the company. This screen inherited in the family.
Condition: Wear due to age; some minor chips. back side with faded areas. Dammages and pieces missing.
