A Chinese gilt-splashed and parcel-gilt bronze archaistic beaker vase, gu
Qing dynasty, 18th/19th century, later-incised Qianlong mark
With tall straight foot and mouth, cast with a keyfret border to the rim and foot, and with gilded lappet medallions enclosing taotie masks above and below the bulging mid section, the surface patinated overall to a rich brown hue and splashed in gilt bronze, the base with incised six-character mark in kaishu, 24.8cm high.
清十八/十九世紀 銅灑金仿古觚式瓶，後刻「大清乾隆年製」款
Condition Report:
a few tiny nicks and dents to the edges, and some scattered large pits - including at least two to the bulging mid section and one to the interior of the rim. A few scratches and some expected old wear.
