A Chinese glazed pottery figure of a camel
Tang dynasty
Naturalistically modelled standing on a rectangular base, with a upward curling neck, carrying a fully loaded saddle bag between two humps decorated with tiger-skin pattern in black with horizontal boards for further support, the saddle strap painted in black and red between the base of neck and the front of the hump, reddish-brown highlight to top of the limbs, overall covered in a buff colored glaze, 37cm high.
