A Chinese porcelain bowl in Louis XVI ormolu mountings
Border with lotus flower motifs above stylised tendrils alternating with insects. In fire gilt bronze mountings consisting of two gadrooned cuffs around the base and lip, connected via hinges to finely chased openwork tendrils along the sides with relief mascarons beneath the mobile handles. Firing cracks, a filled hole to the base. H 15 cm.
