A Chinese pottery figure of a court lady
Tang dynasty
Modelled standing swaying slightly to the left with her right hand extended in front of her chest and her left hand concealed by the voluminous sleeve of her robe which is delicately painted with floral sprays, pigment throughout, 33cm high.
Provenance: Archangel, 16 February 2005.
The dating of this figure is consistent with the result of an Oxford Thermoluminescence test, C204b11, 14 December 2004
