A Chinese tripod bronze censer of compressed globular form with two handles and with a three-character mark, Qin shu lu, is cast in a rectangle on the base. Qing 18th century. Weight 415 g. Diam. 11 cm.
The mark, Qin shu lu, 'Companion of qin and books', is the art name of Wu Bang Zuo, a Xuande period court official in charge of the making of bronze censers.
Condition: Wear due to age. 3/4: small crack at side.
