In overall good and stable condition. Appears to retain the original strap hinges, lock mechanism, key and til. Appears to be free of any in-painting. While some areas of the case’s grain-painted ground are worn, there are few areas of loss to the decorative paint throughout. Old scuffs, marks and scratches consistent with age and use. Few losses to the edges of the feet and base molding. The lid shows few remnants of paint and was lost long ago.
