The pierced back centre with foliate crested C-scrolls entwined in fluttering ribbon tied into a bow to the top and hung with tasseled cord. The arms carved with leafy flourishes to the ends, on swept supports leading down to an upholstered cream damask seat standing on square chamfered legs united by a centre stretcher, 38½'' (98 cm) high, 23½'' (60 cm) wide.
