[ translate ]

A Classical Highly Figured Cherrywood Scallop-Front Sideboard
School of Robert Wilson, Lexington, Kentucky, Circa 1820
Height 49 3/4 x width 73 3/4 x depth 23 inches.

A near identical example, attributed to Robert Wilson and displaying the same outline and configuration of drawers and cupboards, is a part of the Speed Museum collection in Louisville, Kentucky (1953.18).
Property from the Collection of Dr. James Dawson, Manchester, Kentucky
Condition Report: In overall fine and stable condition. Retains a fairly even patina and finish throughout with some very faint fading to the case at one side. Age cracks visible to the top. Old scuffs, marks and scratches consistent with age and use. Few areas of cracking and lifting to the veneer. Each of the exterior cupboard doors shows a small 1/2” patch at the center, suggesting they were previously fitted with a pull. The proper front left corner of the side gallery rail appears to be patched, though this could be due to construction. The proper left, lower cupboard door has an old veneer path in the upper left corner.
