A Collection of Black Glass Cat Eye Marbles in a Graduated Glass Jar

This lot features a collection of approximately 40 to 50 glass marbles, primarily of the cat's eye variety. The marbles are constructed with a dark, near-opaque black or charcoal-colored base glass containing internal colored vanes. Visible vane colors include yellow, orange, and white. The collection is housed in a clear glass canning jar featuring a gold-tone two-piece metal lid. The side of the jar is molded with several embossed markings: the word CUPS appears above a scale marked 4, 8, and 12, and the letters OZ appear to the right. The jar is shaped with four vertical recessed panels and horizontal ribs.Height: 5 1/4 inches (to top of lid)Fill level: 2 inches.
