A Collection of Five Robert Taylor Aviation Prints and a Modern Jet Print

A collection of five framed aviation prints, featuring historical World War II aircraft and modern RAF jet fighters. The lot comprises:

A landscape-format print titled 'Mustang' by Robert Taylor, depicting a North American Mustang Mk III with squadron code QV-I in flight. The print features a printed signature 'Robert Taylor' in the lower-left corner and the printed title in the lower margin.

A landscape-format print titled 'Typhoon' by Robert Taylor, featuring a Hawker Typhoon Mk IB with squadron code JR-P. This print also bears a printed signature 'Robert Taylor' in the lower-left and the printed title in the lower margin.

A landscape-format print by Robert Taylor depicting an Avro Lancaster bomber, serial AJ-G, escorted by two Supermarine Spitfires over a body of water.

A portrait-format print by Robert Taylor showing a Supermarine Spitfire Mk Vb, serial QV-I, in a climbing bank against a blue sky.

A large landscape-format lithographic print depicting two Panavia Tornado GR1 aircraft in camouflage livery flying over a coastal town and landscape.

All prints are housed in uniform stained wood frames with gold-tone inner fillets and blue-grey card mounts.

More Information

The collection shows significant signs of age and poor storage throughout. Heavy foxing and brown spotting are particularly evident across the paper surface of the 'Typhoon' print (photos 3 and 4) and the 'Mustang' print (photo 5). There is general toning and browning to the paper of all prints, and some fading to the original colours is visible. The mounts show surface dust and minor scuffing to the edges. The wooden frames remain structurally sound but exhibit minor surface wear.
