A Collection of Hofbauer Byrdes 24 Percent Lead Crystal Tableware

A seven-piece collection of German 24% lead crystal decorative items in the Byrdes pattern. Each piece is constructed from echt bleikristall (lead crystal) featuring a combination of brilliant-cut geometric motifs and frosted intaglio medallions. The pattern is characterized by frosted circular reserves depicting a bird perched on a leafy branch, set against a background of star, diamond, and vertical ribbed cutting.The collection includes three large footed bowls, each featuring a scalloped and serrated rim with three frosted bird medallions and supported by three scroll-form feet. One large bowl bears a circular foil label with a red bird graphic, reading HOFBAUER COLLECTION around the perimeter and ECHT BLEIKRISTALL 24% at the base. Also included is a small oval footed pedestal bowl with two intaglio bird medallions; one small lidded pedestal jar featuring three frosted bird motifs and a clear glass bird finial; one round lidded trinket dish on three feet with a clear glass bird finial; and one rectangular lidded trinket box in a chest form with bird medallions on the sides and a clear glass bird finial.
