Of heavy russet iron, the breast-plate with slender medial ridge, and turned edges at the neck, arms and waist followed by domed brass-headed lining rivets, the back-plate en suite, two staples for shoulder-straps, and each incised with Roman numerals at the neck (old pitting); together with a French cavalry trooper's breast-plate, the interior etched with Klingenthal manufactory details dated 1833 and 'no. 2926' (3)
