This model is after the standing marble Athena Giustiniani or Giustiniani Minerva which is a Roman copy of a Greek sculpture of Pallas Athena, of the late fifth-early fourth century B.C.E. The figure receives its name from having been in the collection of Vincenzo Giustiniani in the Palazzo Giustiniani. The Athena Giustiniani is currently in the collection of the Vatican Museums.
Condition Report: With an overall dark brown patina with shiny surface. Possibly repatinated. General marks, scratches, rubbing and wear. Notable scraped losses to gilt socle.
