A Continental late Victorian pearl and diamond brooch,
of arched lozenge form, with an old European cut diamond, grain set to a milled box collet at the centre. A scrolling foliate frame set with graduated old eight cut and rose cut diamonds, milled lattice infill and a row of rose cut diamonds. A pearl, peg set below to a diamond cap, with a pair of cushion cut diamonds, a smaller pearl peg set to the top, with a pair of diamonds below. Gold pin and visor catch. Tested as silver and 9ct gold. 50 x 29mm, 8.57g
