A DIVISION ONE HEAVY GOLD SATSUMA PICTORIAL BUTTON

1 Large 19th century backmarked Dragon example. This is a striking and detailed example of 19th century Japanese artistry in excellent condition. The design of the dragon was first painted in red and then heavily gilded to bring out the highlights of the dragon. These large size examples are not always available as often as their smaller counterparts.
