China, six-character Yongzheng mark, shallow bowl form with well-rounded sides, decorated with four double-bat designs in iron red alternating with four double-citrus sprays, each of which with a, "shou," character, the interior with a bat-and-pomegranate design in the well,
ht. 2 3/8, mouth rim dia. 5 7/8 in.
Provenance: Collection of Dorothy-Lee Jones Ward (1948-2022), Wellesley, Massachusetts, and Sebago, Maine. Dorothy was a known expert and collector of glass and ceramics, the founder of the Jones Museum of Glass and Ceramics, and an Honorary Fellow of the Corning Museum of Glass.
